I’ve been going to the Cape pretty much all my life, and had been to Martha’s Vineyard, but somehow never made it to Nantucket until this month. September, by the way, is the perfect time to visit Nantucket. It’s still shorts weather, but all the crowds are gone and the kiddos are back in school.
So here are a few of the cars I saw during my visit. After awhile, I stopped snapping shots of Grand Wagoneers, since they’re literally everywhere. Old Land Rovers are also extremely popular. A lot of it has to do with the extremely bumpy cobblestone that can be found all over the island.

Oh cool, does he live on Nantucket year-round? I hear that the local population shrinks to about 7,000 in the winter.

No. I am on island from the end of June, to the end of August. We do try and get there as much as possible in the off season, when it is much nicer. The year round population is anywhere from 12-15k
